To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, social security number and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.

Information Needed for Account Opening

Additional information may be requested at account opening. The checklist is intended to be a guideline.

Certification for Beneficial Owners

Due to changes in regulation, legal entity accounts do need to complete a “Certification for Beneficial Owners” when opening new accounts. The form is available below to allow our business accounts the ability to collect the information prior to stopping in at the credit union.
